How to Get More Responses From Messages
Here's a sample message that shows how to write a message for a high response rate:
Overall, you want to RELATE and find similarities right off the bat. You have to set yourself apart from the loads of creepy losers who message her with "hey baby wut's up" and show her that you're like a friend that she would run into in her daily life.
Even if you approached a woman not online, she would initially be somewhat afraid of you. Women have a lot more on the line than men. You got rapists, kidnappers, murderers, and tons of creeps who are more likely to go after women than men. So usually she will have her shield up, especially if you drop a lame message. The way you get around this is by building comfort.
Take a look at the example above. The subject line is really important. It shows you read her profile - of course you didn't read the whole thing though, you just skimmed for about 30 seconds and pulled something. But right off the bat, it's something she can relate to. Copy it word-for-word, and put the three dots "..." right after it to lead into the message.
Continue that with some banter about how you relate to that bit you pulled. Then you can add something about yourself. If you're new in town, or if you just got back from school break, or you have vacation, or something - say whatever. For more ideas see The Myspace Pick-up Guide. Lastly, you wrap it up and ask for some form of contact. A girl will be a lot more comfortable giving her screenname first, but if you can also try for the number.
This is a really simple example. You can - and should - change the messages up. Try to keep it about this length, because you don't want to bore her to death. Keep it light and fun. Good luck.
